Usage of Positive AffirmationsAffirmations are positive statements about who we are, and what we can become and experience. They help us focus on what we want. The key in using affirmations effectively is to have them evoke positive emotions within us. When we use affirmations and positive self-talk, our chidren learn how to do this for themselves. Affirmations work very rapidly with young children because they still remember the truth of their inner power, abundance and love. Reinforcing these positive thoughts and feelings gives children the self-confidence, positive attitude and beliefs which help them creat joyful experiences. The Starlight Gamma Girls focuses on the practice of positive self-talk.

Starlight Gamma Girls ProgramOur Starlight Gamma Girls program is targeted for girls ages 5-12 years of age. We have designed this specialized program to create a new generation of self-confident leaders through fun and interactive workshops that are built around the usage of positive affirmations. We want to break the cycle of low self-esteem in our young girls of today.

Our workshops are designed to:

Create leadership
Build self-confidence and self-respect
Encourage a positive attitude
Teach life skills and how to help others
Provide ongoing support
Develop long lasting relationships

The Starlight Gamma Girls Program is a 10 month program (there is a two-month summer break in July and August) that is comprised of two phases. In the first phase, the girls participate in an eight week introductory leadership course that meets every Wednesday evening. After the girls have successfully completed the introductory leadership course, they are given their official Starlight Gamma Girls necklace and then proceed to phase two.

In phase two, the Starlight Gamma Girls meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month for eight months to complete the program. Each month of the program will focus more in-depth on the eight core values of the Starlight Gamma Girls:

I am brave
I am confident
I am a leader
