Kansas City, Mo. (Sept.6, 2013) — To celebrate its arrival in Kansas City, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Dragons will partner with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Ronald McDonald House on Friday, Sept. 13 for Red Friday Spectacular, a celebration on Grand Boulevard to present its eight-show run of DRAGONS SM at Sprint Center, Sept. 11-15. The festivities will shut down Grand Boulevard in front of Sprint Center and also celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs home opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys. The event will also feature a special announcement from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City CEO Holly Buckendahl. Red Friday Spectacular will begin at 11:00 a.m. in front of Sprint Center. In addition, guests will receive an entry into a drawing for a 4-pack of tickets to the closing DRAGONS SM show at Sprint Center on Sunday, Sept. 15 for every $5 donated or pledged to Ronald McDonald House Charities at the event. Winners will be chosen at the conclusion of Red Friday Spectacular.
The celebration will feature various performers and animals from DRAGONS SM, including star Asian elephant Kelly Ann from DRAGONS SM , performing special tricks such as punting and catching Chiefs footballs. DRAGONS SM Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson, the first African-American and youngest ringmaster in the history of Ringling Bros. be the master of ceremonies for the event. DRAGONS SM Clown Alley, along with Chiefs cheerleaders and KC Wolf, will interact with the crowd and hand out special DRAGONS SM and Chiefs giveaways.

10:45 a.m. – Gates open. DRAGONS SM Clown Alley interacts with the crowd.
11:00 a.m. – Red Friday Spectacular begins with an official welcome from the Kansas City Chiefs cheerleaders and DRAGONS SM Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson.
11:05 a.m. – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City CEO Holly Buckendahl announces proceeds from Red Friday newspaper to benefit RMHC-KC.
11:10 a.m. – First performance: DRAGONS SM dancers perform.
11:15 a.m. – Hans Klose and his ten high-energy rescue dogs perform, displaying their animal athleticism by high jumping, hurdling, back flipping, walking on their hind legs, and even diving from 16-feet up in the air.
11:20 a.m. – Special audience Q&A with Hans Klose moderated by emcee Johnathan Lee Iverson.
11:25 a.m. – Paulo dos Santos, sidekick to DRAGONS SM Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson, performs Capoeira, a combination of martial arts moves, dance moves and acrobatics, and is extremely popular in Brazil, dos Santos’ home country.
11:30 a.m. – Kelly Ann, DRAGONS SM star Asian elephant, performs a series of dazzling tricks with her trainer, Joey Frisco, including punting and catching Chiefs footballs.
11:35 a.m. – Special audience Q&A with Joey Frisco moderated by emcee Johnathan Lee Iverson.
11:40 a.m. – Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader thanks the crowd.
11:45 a.m. – Emcee Johnathan Lee Iverson draws four names of guests who donated or pledged a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City to win a special 4-pack of tickets to the closing performance of DRAGONS SM on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m.
11:50 a.m. – Red Friday Spectacular concludes.

There are $45 VIP seats and $65 Premium seats, and a limited number of $95 Circus Celebrity seats for sale.
